I think every person should write their own publication on a variety of topics like our forefathers and the classical learners throughout history. The founder of genetics was a monk/gardener. Why not you? You have a unique view towards the world, with a unique background, values, and likings and dislikes which could create an idea that has never been created before and if it already has, who cares! You have learned something for the sake of learning which brings joy and pride to you and your loved ones.
